Avoiding Tree Root Rot
Trees that exist in urban areas as well as suburbia are more likely to have fresh wounds or damage than those that reside in the forest. Most of the time these wounds are not intentional. They may be the results of Mother Nature, car accidents, lawn mowers, weed whackers, or improper pruning techniques.
The issue here is that once a wound is opened in a tree, Fungi or disease can enter into the tree causing it to become sick. The end result can most certainly be death or you can just be stuck with a sickly tree.
In situations like this, we tend to do aggressive yet precise pruning of broken, dead, diseased, or dying branches. We’ll also apply tree injections depending on the species or type of disease/fungi we find.
